IBANDA-KYERWA NATIONAL PARK

The Ibanda-Kyerwa National Park is a new park founded in the Kagera region in Tanzania. This is the park where the three countries of Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda borders’ meet.  The park covers an area of 200km2 with unique wildlife attractions.  Sunrises and sunsets are also easily seen while being at the middle of the park. The park is fed by the Kagera River as the main source of water for this park and nourishes its rich resources. By air, The park can be easily accessed by scheduled flight via Chato or Kigoma Airports coming from Dar es Salaam, KIA, Arusha or  Mwanza City. Ibanda – Kyerwa National Park experiencing two rainy seasons in a year, a short rainy period is from October to November and the wet season is from March to May. The best time to visit a park is at the end of the short rainy season every year.
